Visit The Better Future Farm
Join us for our Better Future Farm Tour, a full day farm visit!
Better Future Kenya NGO started their farming project in 2012, in order to generate income for their school feeding and education programs. It is now possible to tour the property and see Kenyan farm life with your own eyes.
Throughout the day we will traverse 1 kilometer of farmland, exploring how Better Future Farm utilizes nature to build soil health, and grow a wide variety of healthy fruits, nuts, vegetables and more.
This all-encompassing tour will include the following:
- Harvesting and tasting local fruits and vegetables: tangerines, cassava, lemons, bixa, or others
- Explanations by our experienced farm manager on our sustainable farming practices
- Tasting cashew fruits and learning how to prepare the nuts
- Making coconut milk the traditional Swahili way
- Learning how to color food in a natural way.
- Meeting our African bulls and chickens.
- Enjoying a traditionally prepared Swahili lunch made from local farm produce
- Refreshments throughout the day: Baobab juice, coconut water, and others!
Note: All activities and products are seasonally dependent.
Bring: a hat, walking shoes and sunscreen!
Explore, see, feel, taste, relax and enjoy!
